What We Believe

About God:
God is the Sovereign Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three distinct natures: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

About Jesus Christ:

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect atoning sacrifice for the sins of all mankind by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death, while providing victory over sin and death for all who place their faith in Him.  He has ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again to Earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

 About the Holy Spirit:

He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. The Spirit dwells in every Christian as a source of power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer spiritual gifts the moment they are saved and equips and convicts the Christian believer to use them.   As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.

 About the Bible:

 The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors but inspired by God; written under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit.   It is the supreme source of truth for Christian is inerrant.  The Bible is both a love letter and an instruction manual from God to man, written as a guide to lead us closer to God through knowledge, and understanding. 

 About Human Beings:

 All Mankind is created in the spiritual image of God to exhibit His reflective nature in our character and conduct.  We are the ultimate object of God’s affection and His favored Creation. Mankind has tremendous potential for good but due to a sinful nature that defines our inner nature,  we are by nature, separated from God and defined by disobedience against Him and His commands.

 About Salvation:

 Salvation is God’s answer to our sin, and it is the greatest love offering ever given in the history of creation; it is God’s free gift to us. By trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s atoning sacrifice for our sin and brokenness, any person can be saved from sin’s penalty.  Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.

 About Eternity:

 People are eternal beings. We will exist either eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation through Christ. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with God is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.

 Baptism:

 There are two kinds of Baptism; Baptism by the Holy Spirit, which is obtained automatically as a person receives the Holy Spirit as a benefit of faith, and Baptism by water.  While the believer is instructed to be Baptized by water, we hold that water Baptism is an outward expression of an inward faith. Water baptism is a way for those who have already been redeemed through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus to declare their faith publicly and to invite other believers to hold them accountable for their Christian conduct.

 About the Church:

 The church is a fellowship of believers, who congregate for the purpose of worship and celebrating the gift of salvation that has been given to all who accept Christ as Lord and Savior.  With this privilege comes responsibilities as it is the responsibility of the church and its members to use our spiritual gifts to love the lost, serve the lost, and ultimately lead the lost into a face-to-face meeting with Jesus (Matthew 28:16-20) with the ultimate desire and goal to grow the church through Jesus Christ.
